Head Gardener.
Notes on a London Landscape
The journal explores the role of the modern day ‘Head Gardener in London’. There is a uniqueness in spending the working week within an open landscape that is itself enclosed by vast urban sprawl. The connection with such a landscape is one gained through an on going day-to-day relationship, and differs greatly from what is understood as (and often confused with) maintenance gardening. The personal bond with this kind of environment and occupation, both as demanding as it is serene, is the focus of the journal’s study.
